At Hutchinson Technology, we are committed to being an active member of the communities where our employees live and work. We invest in our communities by:

Encouraging employees to take an active role in community organizations

We believe supporting education is one of the best investments we can make in our communities. It is critical to the economic wellbeing of our communities that students have the skills needed to meet the demands of today’s global economy. We provide students with an early glimpse into the world of work by participating in career days, providing tours and making classroom visits. We also work with educators to keep them informed of new skill demands and technology trends.

As a company built on science and technology, we encourage high school students in our communities to pursue technical degrees. Through our scholarship program, we award a $6,000 scholarship to high school seniors who are pursuing four-year technical degrees and a $1,500 scholarship to seniors pursuing two-year technical degrees.
